Tortilla wraps

This tortilla wrap recipe is quick and easy and may be varied in a myriad of ways served for breakfast, lunch or dinner; or even as a quick snack in the afternoon when you are in the mood for something savoury. These easy homemade tortilla wraps may be prepared with any kind of meat, vegetables, cheese, and spread you happen to have in your fridge or pantry which is why eating them never gets old; you will always have different flavour combinations on hand, depending on what you have in the fridge. You can, for example, use leftover dinner items to create a quick and tasty lunch that may be enjoyed warm or cold packed for later.

Ingredients

1 serving

  • 1 Wheat tortilla (approx. 25 cm in diameter)
  • 1 tbsp Pesto, mayonnaise, Arla cream cheese, or tapenade
  • 25 g Arla Cheese, e.g.  shredded mozzarella & cheddar
  • 25 g Cold cuts and the like, for instance, smoked salmon, chicken strips, bacon, smoked saddle of pork, or falafel
  • 50 g Vegetables, for instance, spinach leaves, pickled or raw onions, cucumber, tomato, avocado, pepper, or lettuce

Instructions

  • Preheat a sandwich toaster.
  • Cut the wheat wrap halfway through (from the edge to the centre) and place the filling in the four quarters of the circle – one quarter with spread and cheese, one with cold cuts, and two with vegetables.
  • Fold the wrap by folding the four parts on top of each other clockwise.
  • Toast it on the well-warmed sandwich toaster until it is golden-brown, and the cheese has melted.
