Bagels

Ingredients (for 2 bagels)

 

(Optional)

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 4 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp onion flakes
  • 2 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese with the flour, baking powder, and salt. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can first blend the cottage cheese in a food processor.
  2. Mix well until a soft dough forms that sticks slightly to your hands. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour.
  3. Divide the dough in half and shape into two balls. Make a hole in the center of each one to form the bagels.
  4. Optionally, brush with egg and sprinkle with “Everything but the Bagel” seasoning. Alternatively, you can use only sesame seeds or leave them plain.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
  6. Serve with a generous amount of Arla Onion & Chive cream cheese for a delicious snack or breakfast.
